A complete in-game armour stand editor for Paper
HS Armour Stand Editor is a standalone Paper plugin that gives builders and server staff an easy way to select, move, rotate, pose, equip, and customise armour stands directly in-game.
The plugin includes both traditional commands and an interactive editor book. Players holding a genuine editor book can use the standard editing features without requiring operator access or a permissions plugin.
Interactive editor book
The Armour Stand Editor book acts as a portable editing tool. Right-clicking while holding the book opens the editor for the currently selected or nearest armour stand.
- Right-click an armour stand to select it.
- Shift and right-click an armour stand to select it and immediately open the editor.
- Right-click while holding the book to reopen the editor.
- Drop the editor book to deselect the current armour stand.
- No permission is required while holding an authenticated editor book.
Equipment editing
Armour stands can be equipped directly through real inventory input slots inside the editor menu.

Players can place, remove, and swap equipment using their cursor. Equipment changes are also recorded by the undo and redo system.
Position and rotation controls
- Move forward, backward, left, or right.
- Move the armour stand up or down.
- Use configurable precision movement amounts.
- Rotate the armour stand clockwise or anticlockwise.
- Move the armour stand directly to the player's position.
- Make the armour stand face the player.
Full pose controls
Individual body parts can be adjusted across the X, Y, and Z axes using both positive and negative rotation values.

Undo and redo
Position, rotation, posing, appearance, and equipment changes are recorded in a configurable history system. Players can undo mistakes or restore previously undone changes through the menu or commands.
Renamed book conversion
Servers can optionally allow players to create an editor book by renaming a supported book to Armour Stand Editor in an anvil.
When conversion is enabled, the renamed book is upgraded into the genuine plugin-generated editor book, including:
- Custom name and description
- Enchantment glint
- Custom author and written pages
- Hidden Persistent Data Container authentication
- Permission-free armour stand editing access
Permissions support
HS Armour Stand Editor uses the standard Bukkit permissions system. LuckPerms is fully supported but is not required.
Server owners can grant editing features through Bukkit-compatible permission nodes, operator access, or by distributing genuine editor books.

HS Armour Stand Editor 1.1.2
HS Armour Stand Editor 1.1.2 is the first complete public release of the plugin. It provides builders and server staff with an in-game interface for selecting, positioning, posing, equipping and customising armour stands on Paper servers.

Editor Book

Known Issue
The Deselect button and dropping the Editor Book currently show the expected feedback, but may not fully clear the internal link to the previously selected armour stand. This is planned to be corrected in a later release.
Installation
- Stop the Paper server.
- Place
HS_ArmourStandEditor-1.1.2.jarinside the server'spluginsfolder. - Start the server using Java 25.
- Review the generated
config.yml.
